Biography

Shelly

Shelly Haug is a trailblazing female polar endurance athlete and high-altitude mountaineer known for her determination, resilience, and passion for conquering the world's most challenging environments. With a career spanning multiple continents and extreme expeditions, Shelly has successfully summited iconic peaks and crossed polar landscapes that have forged her into one of the elite athletes in her field.

Shelly's journey was sparked when a friend invited her to take on the “Race to the Top of Mount Baldy” in California's Sierra Nevada range. She then quickly moved on to the other 14,000 feet peaks in California including Mt. Whitney, the tallest in the contiguous United States where she then honed her skills in mountaineering and ice climbing. Her passion soon took her beyond U.S. borders, reaching the summit of Africa's highest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro, in 2019 where her husband proposed!
